Corey K. Hambrick
Corey K. Hambrick has many years of experience in the public sector where he has served in several capacities to include a Police Officer with the City of Conyers Police Department, and most recently as the Chief of Staff for the Rockdale County Board of Commissioners.
As Chief of Staff, Hambrick served as the liaison among the Board of Commissioners (BOC), assisted the County’s CEO with the daily administrative and operational functions of the County, was first point of contact for department directors, represented the BOC in various relationships such as government organizations and task forces, oversaw executive-level policy analysis and development, and conducted critical research and presented findings that were of interest to the BOC.
Hambrick has served the City of Conyers Police Department for 15 years, with eight of those years as a full-time employee. He started his career in public service as a police officer, then climbed the ranks to several positions within the department including, Field Training Officer, Corporal for Uniform Patrol, City Marshall and Sergeant for both the Uniform Patrol and Criminal Investigation Divisions (CID). During his tenure with the City of Conyers, Sergeant Hambrick completed and received the Leadership in Police Organizations Certification by the International Association of Chiefs of Police, and the Managerial Certification from the Georgia Peace Officers Standards and Training Council. He remains a member of the Conyers Police Department as a Ga POST Certified Police Officer and volunteers in the Reserve and Chaplaincy Units.
Hambrick earned a Bachelor of Political Science degree from Alabama A & M University (Huntsville, AL) and a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) from Strayer University (Herndon, VA).
Corey K. Hambrick Sr. is the lead pastor of The Life Church Christian Center located in Conyers, GA. His passion for community and police services led to the formation of Thinking Under Fire (TUF), an organization that specializes in training local Law Enforcement and the communities they serve how to partner in safety, while understanding the various perspectives of each side of the badge. Hambrick also serves as Chairperson of The Hambrick Foundation Inc., which aids in helping youth and young adults lead successful, fulfilling lives by providing an alternate perspective on life’s possibilities through positive exposure.
Hambrick has served on The Board of Directors for the Rockdale Career Academy, and currently as a Board Member for Soaring Heights Communities (Conyers, GA).
Corey K. Hambrick Sr. is the owner and Chief Executive Officer of Hambrick Corporation LLC, a Real Estate Holdings Company based in Conyers, Rockdale County, Ga.
He currently resides in Rockdale County GA, with his two children; Chloe Nicole and Corey Jr.
