Why Hambrick?

When asked why I desire to assume the Office of the Rockdale County Sheriff; simply put:

The Sheriffs Office averaged 35 to 50 Vacancies spanning the last 12 months. With a County our size and the number of existing vacancies, this places the County at substantial risk reference the number of deputies available to the citizens (calls for service) per shift.

Acquire Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) Accreditation


  1. Comprehensive and uniform written directives that clearly define authority, performance, and responsibilities

  2. Reports and analyses to make fact-based and informed management decisions.

  3. Preparedness to address natural or man-made critical incidents

  4. Community relationship-building and maintenance

  5. Independent review by subject matter experts

  6. Continuous pursuit of excellence through annual reviews and other assessment measures

  7. Qualify for Federal Grants to fund specialized educational classes, trainings, and additional programming such as: Mental Health Preparedness, Rehabilitation, Recidivism, Re-entry, and Jail Reform- All for those currently being housed at the Jail Facility
